Houston is fantastic. A man with a rare gift, Mr. Simmons pinpoints weaknesses and strengthens them, using his own techniques and great knowledge of the trade. I have taken four lessons with him so far, and I have already gained a better sound, greater confidence, and even more stage presence. I can truly say that I have hired the right guy as my vocal coach. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is absolutely serious about perfecting his/her voice.

One major difference my students love about learning how to improve their singing with me is that we set a goal for them to record their own CD in my studio.

You also will love showing, giving and maybe selling your very own CD to others that shows your singing progress.

Houston Simmons is a unique voice teacher. He identifies where my problem is and knows exactly how to fix it.
Being a foreign American singer is not easy. It requires a lot of work such as the pronunciation of English words and native accent problems and he noticed that which usually other regular teachers ignore. Also, there is a fast improvement that is noticeable every week in class and at home where I practice it. As well, after the "How to Be a Great Singer in 4 Simple Steps" got into my life, I incredibly feel the changes on my whole body. So, I am following it every time I sing and suddenly a new voice came out! I am so excited, I am really able to control my voice now.
Sincerly,

I have come so far in my vocal technique in a short period of time of voice training with Houston Simmons with my vocal range and confidence in my abilities to perform in front of an audience.
I've worked with several singing instructors before having voice lessons with Houston Simmons and I just couldn't get to the levels I felt that I knew I had...
When I started looking for other singing voice instructors I decided to take a chance and I found Houston Simmons and I knew right from the first voice lesson that his passion to teach voice and my passion to learn how to sing better were the missing connection and as the saying goes that's all she wrote..
Thank you so much Houston Simmons. I greatly appreciate you!!!

In terms of my experience with you as my personal voice instructor, I am really enjoying learning all of the different vocal techniques and habits that will allow me to become a better singer.
I had always believed that singing was a more of a talent than a skill and it would sadden me because I love music so much and I wanted to be able to fall in love with my own voice the way I have fallen in love with the voices of my favorite artists. However, I am beginning to see more and more that a great singing voice can be accomplished through application of the "How to Be a Great Singer in 4 Simple Steps " that you have taught me.
I feel that you are really knowledgeable in your vocal coaching and I am looking forward to learning more from you in the near future.

I have no experience at all! Can you help me?

For sure! You are not expected to know how to sing like your greatest vocal star when you walk into a lesson...that's what I'm here for.

I have no aspirations to be a professional. Would I be wasting my time with lessons?

Never. Many people don't want to be the next “American Idol”. They just want to be their best. They sing simply because they love to and perhaps it's their escape.

Whether or not you want to “step into the spotlight“, taking lessons can greatly increase your enjoyment of singing because it makes singing easier. You'll also sound a lot better and more confident!

I'm not sure I need lessons, or that you're the right teacher for me. How do I know?

Sign-up for a trial lesson ($30). Even if you decide not to continue with lessons, you'll have gained several valuable things:

  • * A professional's assessment of your voice and its potential
  • * An idea of what it will take to get your voice where you want it to be
  • * An idea of what your singing lessons will be like
  • * A great start towards a better singing voice

How many sessions will I need?

That's a decision we'll make together.

If you are an advanced singer, you may want to only want to work on a certain problem and then stop. Many top performing artists continue with ongoing vocal coaching to avoid vocal injuries and consistent improvement.

Less advanced students need to go at their own pace when it comes to learning the craft and art of singing.

As your private voice instructor, I will push you to your fullest capability and encourage you each step of the way to reach your vocal singing goals.
